As mentioned in another – briefer – bio in the shadow world my real name is not H-Nu. For those whose native language is not german H-Nu is pronounced "Hawnoo" (well close to that anyway). I am *not* afraid to tell my real name, H-Nu is the name I am simply more known under.

Some thoughts concerning this site. For years I and a couple of close friends have exclusively worked for our drawers or our ego. That is – of course – not really satisfying, especially knowing that an artists ego needs to be taken care of. I finally decided to do something about it. No matter if musics, art, animation or whatnot, I want to provide a forum for some of my incredibly talented friends and of course for myself.

Aside from working as a graphic artist, 3D animator and illustrator professionally, I am doing stuff like that during my off hours too. Not really to earn money (darn, I´d love to be able to live on that kind of work) but for my own artistical satisfaction and - you guessed it, my ego.

Music on the other hand is my other great love. Even though I ´started learning instruments and doing music with around 17, I´ve again never had the drive to actually do something with that talent.

With time the enthusiasm for creative work grew bigger and bigger. After doing comics and illustrations for years I started painting at age of about 20. Of couse occationally I did paint before, but not nearly as often and as dedicated.

What a surprise was it, when "Multimedia appeared in the early 90s or late 80s. The next thing in fact, after painting, drawing and music were computers. As soon as I started to work with my first Mac (a Mac Classic for those still remembering these) I fell in love with those. No cryptic prompts where you had to type obvious nonsens, no, a friendly face greeting you while startup and a *white piece* of "paper ass soon as you wnated to work with the thing. Cool! Now get this: is used to *hate* computers before. With a passion. the Mac changed everything and I began to like the technology behind. What makes the mouse move? What is programming? And there was HyperCard on that computer. That was my first multimedia experience. Programming in HyperCard.

Then a couple of years later, after two less than satisfying jobs I decided - together with my girlfriend - to get self-employed and do 3D animation and Multimedia. I did quite a lot in Lingo (Director´s programing language) and kinda liked it.

I don´t anymore now, though. Art is really my passion. I know enought about programming to know, that it is not my cup of tea, and frankly, programing tends to turn people into maniacs. That is also, why it took so long to do these pages here. I still don´t like coding very much and even HTML is coding.
